Doctor Clown Went to Work in the National Zoo in Bojnice

Throughout the year, artists act out theatrical performances for children with different kinds of disadvantage that are separated from their close-ones and placed in institutions of social and health care in Slovakia. Together with the clowns, the children dream, discover the contents of the „Magic Suitcase“, get to know the “Strong Max“, “Goldilocks“ and the “Rabitt Lajko“, visit the “Supermarket“ and the “Fairytale Ball“.

Each year on October the 4th, during the World Animal Protection Day, the children meet their friends – the clowns in the National Zoo in Bojnice. This year was no different. Accompanied by their pedagogues, 119 children from facilities in Brezolupy, Nová Baňa, Adamovské Kochanovce, Dolný Kubín, Prievidza, Horelica, Bratislava, Zvolen, Pastúchov and Partizánske traveled through the nooks of the Zoo and learned the secrets of the wildlife in the company of expert zoologists and funny clowns Vlado Kulíšek, Adrián Ohrádka and Roman Mihálka.

Pleasant experiences and joyous laughter stay in the hearts of the children for a long time, to be relived during the next visit of the friendly clown in the homely atmosphere of their facility. We are able to organize repeated visits of the clowns thanks to the long-term support of the Ministry of Culture of the Slovak Republic and AS Trenčín.
